321 May 19 marks World IBD Day, a global initiative dedicated to raising public awareness of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and promoting better disease management and quality of life for patients. Jointly initiated by the European Federation of Crohn’s & Ulcerative Colitis Associations (EFCCA), the IBD Collaborative Group of the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology under the Chinese Medical Association, and other global IBD organizations, the “Light Up with Love”public welfare campaign encourages landmarks and public screens around the world to illuminate in purple, conveying care and support for people living with IBD.
This year, Kexing Biopharm hosted the Shenzhen campaign for the fifth consecutive year. Together with Zhengzhong Group, the company launched the themed initiative “Walking Together Through Time, Healing You and Me,” lighting up three Kexing Science Parks across Shenzhen in purple. At the same time, Kexing Biopharm coordinated patient education programs and free medical consultation activities nationwide, continuing to bring warmth and support to the IBD community.
At 7:30 p.m. on May 19, Kexing Science Park Nanshan, Chuangyi Kexing Science Park, and Aote Kexing Science Park were simultaneously illuminated in purple, becoming a heartwarming public welfare landmark across Shenzhen that evening.
At the lighting ceremony, volunteers held signs carrying messages such as “Walking Together Through Time, Healing You and Me,” “Focus on Gut Health,” and “Care for IBD Patients.” Through group photos and social media sharing, participants called on the public to pay greater attention to intestinal health, eliminate prejudice, and show compassion toward people living with IBD.

Under the glow of purple lights, these landmark buildings not only responded to the global “Light Up with Love” campaign, but also symbolized Kexing Biopharm’s long-term commitment to the IBD patient community. As one volunteer at the event remarked:
“Every beam of purple light represents a promise. We hope the brightness of the city can help dispel the darkness in patients’ hearts.”
While the main lighting ceremony took place in Shenzhen, Kexing Biopharm also partnered with hospitals across China to organize offline patient education activities in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Shaanxi, Shandong, Liaoning, and other provinces.
During these events, medical experts delivered educational lectures on topics including IBD disease management and personalized treatment strategies, offering professional guidance and practical support for patients.

One physician participating in the free consultation activities commented:
“IBD requires long-term management. Every increase in public awareness helps reduce the difficulties patients face on their journey to diagnosis and treatment.”
The doctor also distributed carefully prepared health gift packages and disease management handbooks to attendees. Many patients shared that these activities provided not only medical consultation, but also a strong sense of understanding and emotional support.
From its first participation in 2022 to the fifth consecutive lighting event in 2026, Kexing Biopharm has remained steadfast in its dedication to IBD public welfare initiatives.
Through a series of activities including purple lighting ceremonies, patient education programs, and free clinics, the company has continuously promoted the concept of “early diagnosis and early treatment” for IBD, while building a stronger bridge of communication between doctors and patients.
True public welfare is not a momentary flash of light, but long-term companionship and commitment. Moving forward, Kexing Biopharm will continue to unite professional resources and collaborate with medical institutions and caring organizations to advance early diagnosis, standardized management, and greater public understanding of IBD — ensuring that every patient is seen, understood, and supported throughout their recovery journey.
Light Up with Love — for more than five years, and for many more to come.
